The property is beautiful and comfortable with most kitchen items that one might need stocked in. Plenty of towels for the pool or the beach. It is in a convenient area of the east end of the island with several restaurants nearby.

Located on a breezy hill above most beautiful area of St. Croix. Open and functional, good backup from full time caretaker, Charles. Anne at rental office was available, and very conscientious at keeping in touch through whole rental process

Delightful villa, beautiful setting ~ The villa is located in a small, upscale development in the hills on the north side of St Croix, well away from the traffic and congestion of town. (The closest grocery stores, shops and restaurants are about 20 minutes away; you must have a car to get around.) Surrounded by beautiful vegetation, sparkling clean and charmingly-decorated, the 2-BR villa has its own private pool. A wall surrounds the pool deck for safety and complete privacy; a gas grill, lounge chairs, pool floats, rockers and a table w/seating allow for outdoor living. The bedrooms are separated from one another (ideal for 2 couples), each BR opens directly onto the pool deck. Well-furnished and decorated in tropical themes, the villa is quiet and very comfortable by any standard. We prepared most of our meals in the small but modern, efficient kitchen. Plenty of beautiful, sparsely populated beaches are within 10-20 minutes' drive. The rental contacts are superb to deal with: prompt, precise, extraordinarily helpful, flexible. We loved our stay here and will return.

What a perfect vacation thanks to my stay @ Villa Madeleine’s Bird of Paradise. Charles made a warm and welcoming introduction to the villa and area. This was my first visit to STX. My first vacation in 5 years. I am an elementary school teacher based in NYC and researched the safest, best-bang-for-your-buck beach trip w/o the chaos/headache/crowds that accompany over developed resorts on other better known islands. Every box on my list ticked. Gorgeous views, privacy, updated and clean, friendly community, high speed WiFi, private pool, outdoor bbq grill and driving access to picture postcard tropical beaches. Make sure to do your shopping upon arrival and settle in for a week or more of the R&R we all could use following Zoom fatigue. 100% I will return. My new vacation spot on earth. Thank you for a truly restorative vacation stay @ Bird of Paradise.

This villa has a Caribbean view and it’s own private pool. It is beautifully furnished in island style and is equipped with most everything you will need. They provide everything from beach towels to coolers to a fully equipped kitchen. Also, you will find a binder chocked full of information about places to visit, favorite restaurants, medical emergency information, and much, much more. Pack your bags and don’t forget to include the sunscreen! Have a great time and go see the beer drinking pig if you have time.

Will share up front that this review is a very positive review! We stayed a month (January) in Bird of Paradise within Villa Madeline and truly loved every day of it! Right from the start, working with Anne to secure a date to stay in the villa was so pleasant and so easy! And while we didn’t use the arrival services (our son and his wife live on the island and brought us to Villa Madeline from the airport), I have no doubt that Charles would have performed those services in an outstanding manner! The villa is well supplied with towels, kitchen utensils, beach chairs, coolers, etc. The second bedroom/bathroom provides privacy for a second couple if four people are staying in the villa. The entire villa is decorated in a lovely way. And there are so many windows and doors available for channeling wonderful island breezes that while AC is available, it’s rarely needed or even wanted! Charles and his staff are extremely responsive re: any needs you might have in the villa or information about St Croix. The pool was wonderful and we used it everyday. The view is really nice - it’s great to be able to see the Caribbean Sea from the pool deck! All in all, a wonderful place to stay and we definitely plan on returning to Bird of Paradise in Villa Madeline for another stay!

I stayed with a group of ladies and we truly enjoyed the Villa. The Villa is decorated nicely and the pool is wonderful. We had plenty of room. The view from the back patio is amazing. Truly enjoyed relaxing out there day and night. I would highly recommend this Villa. Thanks again for the great stay and hospitality.

Absolutely perfect villa with a great view and A/C First let me just say that while having a pool with a rental on St. Croix is a big seller, more often then not, the pools get dirty quite quickly and it becomes a pain having to clean them on a daily basis. The pool here, however, was cleaned weekly which was a HUGE bonus and so we almost never had to break out the pool net to clean it ourselves. Secondly the beds were outrageously comfortable and the view was killer. Lastly, the fact that there was A/C in every room made visiting St. Croix in the middle of the summer, a complete dream. I would definitely come back here to stay in the future. ALSO, it is definitely a bonus that Blue Water Terrace is right down the road, so when you are craving a pizza and cheesecake in the evening, its just a quick phone call and a 20 minute wait and that is it!

We stayed 9 days at Bird of Paradise, one of a group of very well designed and built, almost cookie-cutter condos on a south-facing hillside in the east end of St. Croix called Villa Madeleine. Why St.Croix? We came from the snows of NH and wanted to play golf. Did we play golf? Every day, the first at the 9 hole Reef course adjacent to Villa Madeleine and each day thereafter 9 holes one day and 18 the other days at the Buccaneer resort course, an easy drive about 10 or 15 minutes west. The courses were well-maintained, but very arrid except the greens. Our villa was perfect for after golf relaxation. The private pool is by far the most attractive facet, but the villa itself was quiet, clean and airy, very comfortable for us, a couple. (It also has a nice second bedroom with bath, that we didn't use). We found no need to use the air conditioners as the overhead fans were sufficient with the ample sliders open. Though warned of mosquitos and the like, we encountered none. There is a footpath route to the beach at an adjoining resort property. I didn't go there, but my wife did and thought the beach very attractive. Louis K: Feb. 2017
